This is a large book - difficult to fill but very satisfying when completed. How to divide the large empty fields of a page with ink? I spent a bit of time trying to find out. I took this book travelling with me, despite its size. And I packed it up and sent it to the Penland Gallery in 2019 as part of the exhibition “Further Evidence: The Art of Natural Dyes”. I like the tension created by a larger page - what can you say that can command that much space?
