Book Fifty-three

Is there an ideal size for a notebook? Small ones are filled too quickly and cannot contain large things. Big books are difficult to carry. Each page is vast enough to be intimidating. This journal was an attempt to answer that question. Measuring 8” x 12” it was the largest book I’ve hauled about on trips and on a daily basis.

I went through a spell of drawing my own maps. The book was good for this. It was also good to print out a copy of a photograph, paste it into the book, and write over top of the photo. I enjoyed that.
